RUKUNDO Elia

RUKUNDO Elia was born in Uganda in 2015, where his parents lived at the time. He was born with dyskinetic cerebralc, Elia's condition needs regular rehabilitation sessions, working with some exercises and other rehab interventions to help him ease the condition so he keep on with his studies. palsy, a movement disorder caused by brain damage during development. His mother struggled to provide him with medical care because his father abandoned the family after his birth. Facing her own severe health issues, she decided to return to Rwanda to live with her elderly mother for support.

Thanks to STC’s intervention, Elia received medical care and was able to start school. He is now in 2nd grade primary school and well performing. However, his mother faces great challenges in providing for him and his two other siblings. 

we do advocacy to run our initiatives and our actions started in january 2020 we started with nothing unless the family members efforts and our professional knowledge to carry on these initiatives

12 Dec 2023 Elia Completed the 3 months rehab sessions 3 months of regular rehab sessions were completed by the child, however he skipped some sessions based on demographics or other reasons, now he begin another session to improve to the next step
