STC's Impact during Disability Day 3rd Dec 2023
Every year, on December 3rd, we commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a day dedicated to acknowledging the struggles, achievements, and contributions of individuals with disabilities worldwide. Instituted by the United Nations in 1992, this day serves as a platform to raise awareness, challenge misconceptions, and advocate for the rights and well-being of people with disabilities.
As the world celebrated Disability Week, Stand Together for Change (STC) reaffirmed its commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities, offering practical aid among its community members and promoting inclusion and positive changes within the community.
STC's presence during Disability Day encapsulated the organization's unwavering dedication to fostering inclusivity and advocating for the rights and dignity of individuals with disabilities. Beyond the ceremonies and materials provided, STC's actions represented a community united in supporting and empowering those in need, ensuring that no one feels alone on their journey. On this Day the community members performed a theater that passes the message of supporting inclusion especially in society and in schools. Not restricting anyone from performing in school according to one's disability.
