STC CELEBRATES NATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES WITH THE COMMUNITY IN CYEZA SECTOR

On this year’s National Day of Persons with Disabilities, Stand Together for Change (STC) joined the vibrant celebrations in our sector, standing in solidarity with the community to empower inclusion and raise awareness about the rights and potential of people with disabilities. This annual event is a significant moment for STC, as it aligns with our core mission of promoting inclusion, accessibility, and dignity for all.

The day began with a gathering of community members, local leaders, and individuals with disabilities. Representing STC, our team delivered an inspiring speech that emphasized the importance of inclusion and equal opportunities for everyone. The speech highlighted the need for collective efforts to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and foster an inclusive society where every person can thrive.

“Inclusion is not just an act of kindness—it is a right. Together, we can build a society where everyone, regardless of ability, has a chance to shine and contribute to the community.”

Adding a creative touch to the day, a captivating theater performance was presented by talented local artists. The performance portrayed the everyday challenges faced by people with disabilities and the power of community support in overcoming those challenges. Through humor, emotion, and impactful storytelling, the play left the audience inspired to take action toward a more inclusive and supportive environment.

STC Supported person with disabilities and doesn’t have proper assistive during the event. These included wheelchairs and crutches, provided to individuals who lacked the necessary tools to move independently. The joy and gratitude on the faces of the recipients were a powerful reminder of the importance of this work.
